Only transfer activity we will see in the summer is the sale of Rice and Bowen and another load of we tried and we were one signature away oh and we left it too late. Now fuck off and let us count that £150m again

Doesn't feel like that long ago we had Tevez, Ashton, Harewood, Zamora, Sheringham and Carlton Cole all on the books at the same time.
I know Tevez was kind of put on Pardew but what was he doing with all those strikers!

i know i am getting on but i remember when we were brimming with strikers , 1975 Jennings, Taylor, Robson,Gould, Best. how has it come to the sad state of affairs we now find ourselves in .

Also read somewhere that Chelsea gave him a 5 year deal at the start of this season, there's no way the board will pay the money it will take to buy him outright.

Chelsea won't sell him, within the next 1-2 years they'll have got rid of Werner and possibly Lukaku if he keeps acting up. 2023/24 season Broja will be pencilled in as one of their main men up front.
More likely we'll be seen as a step up on Southampton and get him on a seasons loan (with no option to buy).

Barty - 100% agree that we need to sign a first choice striker and not a back-up to Antonio as some are suggesting.
Antonio has done well for us but clearly has some limitations that stop him from becoming a top striker. Aside from his Age (32 in March) and his injury record, if we approach next season with him as our best option up front then we are in for a huge disappointment.
As things stand I think Antonio would make an excellent back-up striker if we actually manage to sign someone in the Summer.

It is crystal clear if we are gonna progress properly we need a new first choice striker, Antonio can cover the wings aswell and being the second choice striker
Moyes and the board are not blind, "expensiveish" striker will be signed in the summer 100%

No we don't sign those anymore. Antonio has a contract to 2025 so nothing left in the wage budget until then anyway.

I believe we will qialify next season, not optimistic about the 4th place though. I Don´t believe we´ve got the aquad depth for it.
